Rondy Michael Lazaro

Rondy Michael Lazaro, violin, has previously played with various orchestras including the Richmond Philharmonic, University of Virginia Baroque Orchestra, and the Charlottesville Symphony at the University of Virginia. He has studied violin with Nathan Rubin, Debra Fong, Anthony Martin, David Colwell, Daniel Sender, David Sariti, and Susanna Klein. Dr. Lazaro also sings tenor with Voices in Rochester, NY and is a former member of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, Richmond Symphony Chorus, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Schola Cantorum (Richmond, VA), University of Virginia Chamber Singers, University of Virginia University Singers, Stanford Chamber Chorale, and Stanford University Singers. He is the former Assistant Conductor of the Richmond Philharmonic and was the inaugural Conductor of the VCU Health Orchestra. Dr. Lazaro graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Music (concentration in Conducting) and a BS in Biology. He earned his MD from the University of Virginia. Dr. Lazaro is a sports medicine physician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester Medical Center.  “I enjoy playing with Cordancia because of its talented musicians and its innovative and creative programming, including works that you won't hear anywhere else!”
