Kathleen Suher

Kathleen Suher, oboe, is a lawyer and a musician. While attending the University of Rochester where she studied Political Science and French, she took lessons with Richard Killmer at the Eastman School and joined the University of Rochester Symphony Orchestra (URSO). After attending Syracuse University College of Law, she returned to Rochester to pursue her legal career.  She is currently counsel at Nixon Peabody, having practiced law for 30 years with a focus on commercial real estate.  In addition to her legal career, she has continued to play the oboe. Kathleen met Pia in URSO, and in 2009 they collaborated on an oboe quartet and other chamber music ensembles, which led to their founding Cordancia.  Kathleen serves as Chair and Treasurer and principal oboist.
